The full House will vote on the budget later this week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe committee did a great deal of work and made a step in the right direction. However, more work needs to be done and I look forward to making the necessary changes to improve the budget\u201d, said co chair Rep. James Spillane.<\/p>\n<p>Co chair Rep. Laurie Sanborn added, \u201cGovernor Sununu and his team did a great first pass on the budget, and now it\u2019s the House\u2019s turn to improve upon it. House Republicans are fairly unified in opposing the targeted funding for full-day kindergarten. Many of us in the House Republican Alliance also want to keep government spending down and are concerned about the large budget increase. We need to be transparent, efficient and effective with tax payers\u2019 dollars and should be reducing taxes and spending whenever possible so people can keep more money in their own pockets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile there are no new or increased taxes in this budget proposal, the HRA co chairs would like to actually see tax cuts for the people and businesses in New Hampshire,\u201d added co chair Rep. Glenn Cordelli.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<br \/>\n<em>The New Hampshire House Republican Alliance (HRA) was founded in 1997.
